Your walking data stays yours.

TreadTap has no account system, advertising, or third-party analytics. The developer does not collect or receive your walking sessions or Apple Health data.

Walking-pad connection

TreadTap uses Bluetooth to discover and control a compatible nearby walking pad and to receive speed, elapsed time, distance, step, and energy values. This information is processed on your device.

Walking history

Completed sessions—including time, distance, steps, and energy—are stored locally on your device. Removing TreadTap removes its local session history unless a system backup restores it.

Apple Health

With your permission, TreadTap writes completed indoor walking workouts, walking distance, and active energy to Apple Health. TreadTap does not read your Health data. Health data is handled by Apple Health under your device and Apple account settings, and is never available to the developer.

Companion controls

Your iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, widgets, and Live Activities may exchange the current connection state, selected speed, and control commands using Apple’s local device communication features. This communication is used to operate your nearby walking pad and is not sent to the developer.

Data collection

The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data through TreadTap. The app contains no advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, or developer-operated cloud service.

Data removal

You can remove TreadTap’s local history by deleting the app. Workouts already saved to Apple Health can be viewed or deleted in the Health app.
